Hello,
Today, I finally decided to stop procrastinating and post this review for a book I read back in January! (June came way too fast!)
Girl Behind Glass by Abby Wilder
Genre: Young adult, Dystopian, science fiction.
Girl Behind Glass is a dystopian novel about a girl who lives in a glass dome along side many others, above the decimated Earth. She dreams of becoming a Guardian of what nature remains left on Earth, but her life changes drastically as she is hurled out of the lifestyle she has always known, and into a more free and "muddy" way of life.
This story is complete with a love triangle, trust and betrayal, and unique characters. Personally, I kept getting annoyed with the main character from the start, but by the end I couldn't blame her actions, and I could even see myself making some of the mistakes she did, if I were in her position. The ending left me feeling a bit unsatisfied, but that was before I knew there is a second book! This was a good novel, and had an interesting story to tell.
I recommend this book to those who are looking for some drama, and enjoy the Dystopian genre.
Out of five stars, I give this book four, because of the interesting story line. It's definitely worth a read!
Thanks for reading!
